Introduction-

Texas Hold ‘em has been one of the most famous games and the game is been played across the world. It is very easy game to play and if you are a beginner you won’t be facing any problem relating to how to go about the game. You get two cards with the face down and these cards are known as hole cards or the pocket cards. The players get five cards with the face up afterwards and they are known as community cards. You have to make the best hand from the seven cards at the end of the betting round.

Game Process-

In the first round of betting you get the two cards with the face down and then subsequently you get three cards facing upwards. If other players want to make their hands strong then they can make use of these cards and it is termed as Flop. This is followed by a betting round, a fourth card is provided with the face down and this is termed as turn card. After all this finally a fifth card is provided and the last round of betting is conducted and this final card is called river card.

Fixed Limit Texas Hold ‘em- It is a game where the betting is done with limited money.

Pot Limit Texas Hold ‘em- It has a form where limited betting is done. The limit is decided to the amount that is at present in the pot. The pot increases with the increase in the betting limit.

No Limit Texas Hold ‘em- It is a game where the betting is done according to the amount that the total players are ready to wager. There are no fixed betting limits in the game. The game is mostly played with the high bankrolls.

Following are the types of Texas Hold ‘em:

Value Bet- A value bet takes place when you place your opponent on hand. You assess as how much your opponent is ready to play with his bad holding and then only execute the bet. If you want to increase your profit then you must apply value bet in your game tactics.

The Bluff- It is the opposite of the value bet. Generally the bluffing is situational. With Bluffing you make yourself different from the other players. Anybody can be dealt with good cards and can register a win. Your best bluff bet is one chip more than the perfect value bet.

The Semi-Bluff- It is here that you get the biggest of the draws. The semi-bluff is an act of betting at a pot at that point of time when you don’t have the strong hand but are a probable of making an effective hand.

Control Bet- It is used to manage the size of the pot. If the pot is big then the players will make the bets with weaker hands due to the fact of the probable payoff.

Defensive Bet- It is also known as blocking bet. This can be used instead of the flop and at the same time you want to perform better in the hand. Your bet should be big enough that your opponents will be depressed from bluffing. In a case where you have faced a big rise after any one of these bets then it is usually safer to let loose your hand.
