New Twist in
Bodog Patent Case
After a break in
the disagreement between online gaming
organizations Bodog and 1st Technologies LLC, it
seemed that 1st Technologies has LLC has made an
important move and haul out millions from Bodog
in terms of the court findings. Different
subpoenas had been issued to the Bodog
advertising contacts in search of presenting all
the records and documents in relation to the
payments received by Bodog branded products.
Also they have asked for the correspondence
between Mr. Calvin who is the owner of Bodog and
the bank records and verification of the income
tax.
Previous year the copyright issue became very
popular as Mr. Lewis who is the head of 1st
Technologies LLC managed control over the
domains of Bodog when Bodog was not able to show
up at the court. The legal delegates at 1st
Technologies LLC said that Bodog had made breach
of the copyright that is related to the
transmission of the multimedia information which
needs minimal bandwidth.
Bodog faced some heavy loss and even some
offensive posts were made at Mr. Calvin’s blog
saying that 1st Technologies LLC as the
copyright trolls. Mr. Calvin laid the foundation
of Bodog and made use of its blog to disprove
the allegations and said that Mr. Scott who is
the owner of 1st Technologies is a patent troll.
Mr. Scott asserted that this type of insults are
slanderous and added that the company is a
technology development company which
incorporates inventing, licensing, and making
improvement through business projects and
software development. Mr. Scott told to one of
the gaming information portal 911 that they have
many innovations copyright pending and some of
the copyrights are related to the multimedia
transmission optimization, legalized software
development.
He said that he is the only one who is
responsible for issuing the patents and some of
them are licensed to the famous companies. They
are engaged in the most effective multimedia
entertainment goods and services. Licensing
assisted 1st Technologies LLC in making an
investment in new inventions and software
developments and it shows years of labors.
Mr. Scott claimed that it was the order from the
court to go after the Bodog and the court has
given enough time to Bodog to react to the court
case. It all begun in t he month of July in 2005
when their law firm sent some legal letters
giving them notice about the breach and
proposing authorization cooperation. When we
didn’t receive anything we decided to file a
suit in the month of September 2006.
According to 911 before the subpoenas on Bodog’s
different advertising contacts Mr. Lewis
proposed a persona conversation with Mr. Ayre.
No lawyers and no other office employee will get
involved, either on the telephone or in
personal. He said we might come to a final
settlement or at least finally agreeing or
differing.
