Not able to provide enough evidence, The winner faces Prison

Last October Miss Leah aged twenty-one won one million pound on a lottery scratch card. She has been put behind bars for not appearing at the court and providing with enough evidence in the trial. She works in a chip shop and instead of attending the court she went to the Canary Island for a luxury vacation. She was arrested while she was coming back from Britain at Bristol International Airport.

She was ordered by Mr. Christopher who is a Judge to pay a fine of two hundred pounds at Truro crown court. Miss Leah was in her summer clothes and had tan lines from her holidays. The judge ruled out that she intentionally didn’t show up at the trial and the holiday is just an excuse. Miss. Leah was very much worried about the response of the defendant in the trial if she gave proof.

Hearing this Mr. Christopher dismissed this and said they didn’t bothered to provide any intimation by her defendant and described the incidence as the contempt of court and not excuse will provided for it. He added this will only result in the custodial sentence of Miss. Leah.

She was already intimated about the court case in the month of November but she did inform that she will not available to attend the court. According to the court she has also was not aware of a family holiday which was booked for a long time. First she gave a confirmation and later on she denied it.

Mr. Martin who is a Detective Constable said that he also informed Miss. Leah that if she will not attend the court then it would result in the contempt of court and could also get arrested for it. The trial progressed further without Leah and Mr. Christopher added that her evidence would have really affected in the decision of the case.

Miss. Leah has yet to give about evidence against Mr. Mark who was present in the court premises for a real charge against his girlfriend Miss. Janine. Mr. Mark was had been charged for hitting and strangulating Miss. Harkins with a gown and made her unconscious. The charges did not prove on him and he was declared innocent from the case and was set free.

Miss Leah was defended by Mr. Jeremy and said his client asked for an apology from the court as he didn’t knew what situation has Miss. Leah has put her into. Leah did not comment on it after she was given the verdict from the court.

Miss Leah used to work at Dolphin Fish and Chip Bar at St. Ives. She was hardly able to make a living for herself and at the same time she won a lottery of one million pound in the month of October. She said that she was shocked to see the winning numbers that won her million pounds. She said that she might be seeing a dream but it was not a dream and she believed that dreams can become true.
