Planned Casino Bill at Kentucky Stalls

The Democratic leaders in the states House of Representatives were instructed by the Governor of the state to quicken up on the proposal that will legally allow the Ohio border to have a casino. A bill was about to generate more revenue in the state by allowing the legalized gambling in the state but during the meeting the bill was scrapped. Mr. Steve who is the Governor of the state asked for the support so that the proposal gets approved.

Last year Mr. Steve became the Governor of the state with the support of the people those who believed that there should be legalized gambling in the state. He is a democrat and he believes that the leaders from other parties should come forward for a final agreement on the bill. He wants to be capable enough that he could sanctify one unified language so that it could be presented in from of the voters and the citizens to cast their vote. Unluckily the bill didn’t get passed Elections and Constitutional Amendments Committee that made Mr. Steve more dedicated towards getting the bill passed.

Mr. Steve is of the view that it is up to the people of the state to decide that whether they really want to have a casino or not. He also said that around eighty percent of the citizens of the state supported his point of view. The two parties just cannot come to a final conclusion on the language of the modification.

Review of Mr. Steve suggestion include the things like not more than nine casinos and not more than five to be built up by horse racing tracks. According to the proposed amendment comprises of the addition of the new casinos close to the recognized horse racing tracks towards the southern part of the state. As for the other reviews it questioned the voters to support the casinos that would be controlled by the horse racing organizations.

The genuine words of Mr. Steve amendment suggestions probably have permitted the licenses to be subjected to the total of al eight racing tracks and it also includes the new four tracks that have to be built at the border of Ohio/Kentucky. The party members of Mr. Steve also have the problem with the number of casinos those were recommended for opening and these members presented their views saying that they are too many. It is evident that with the amendment that one that it will back the house and secondly for the November ballot but there will be a need of sixty percent margin to make it approved. The issue is believed to be dead.
