PartyPoker.com Irish Poker Championship 2008 will take place at Radisson Hotel in Galway, Ireland. PartyPoker.com is behind the first main tournament that is sponsored in Ireland and it is one of the main tournaments of 2008 in Europe. It was won by Galway based Mr. Jude who also challenged the chances or winning the trophy and prize money worth around £ 134, 65.

There are around three hundred players coming from across the globe. Some of the best players like- Mr. Mike, Mr. Bruno. Mr. Jude is a 28 year old Phd Biochemistry student and enjoys the credit of defeating some of the best in the game of poker. Mr. Mike expressed his feelings about Irish Poker Championship that the game of poker is just not a game but while playing the game of Poker in Ireland you enjoy a friendly environment that you won’t find at any Poker tournament.

The competition was tough and none of the above mentioned players made it to the finals. Following are some of the players those who successfully made their place- Mr. Glenn with 235, 000 chips, Mr. Keith with 696, 000 chips, Mr. Michael with 222,000 points, Mr. Bernard with 294, 000 chips. Mr. Jude cannot be forgotten in this list who got second place with 485, 000 chips.

Final table match’s main highlight was three outer was won by Mr. Tommy. He increased sixty thousand and he was addressed on the button by Mr. Keith who was the chip leader. The flop arrived when six of clubs, seven of diamonds, and three of hearts were moved all for 241, 000. Mr. Keith called for while holding the ace of diamonds and the king of hearts. It seemed that he was having king of clubs and king of spades but on the turn the ace of hearts came up. It resulted in the defeat of Mr. Keith who was leading the chips from the very first day.

The game continued further and it only came down to just three players- Mr. Tommy, Mr. Michael, and Mr. Jude. At this stage of the game Mr. Jude has made a considerable lead acquiring half of the chips. Mr. Tommy lost to Miss Jude and Mr. Michael successfully took lead from Mr. Jude. The chip lead witnessed many alterations as both the players played for the final title. Mr. Jude won through and became the new player to win a main tournament of Poker.

Mr. Jude was very satisfied with his win and said that he wanted to celebrate his winning in an Irish manner. He was of the view that this winning means a lot to him and he really appreciates the support he got throughout the game. He said that he has made plans that he would be taking a break after completing his Phd at GNUIG in Galway, Ireland.

He told that his wife will be very pleased to hear this news and she works for a local toy company in Hong Kong. He also added that he has planned to take a holiday and playing some more tournaments maybe WSOP at Las Vegas in the summers. Mr. Jude is has become significantly rich and he can definitely afford to play at some of the best tournaments. According to Mr. Murray who is the Editor of Card Player magazine although Mr. Jude is a good online player, but he never plays live Poker and his win is a real surprise.
