Absolute Poker faced a fine of Million Dollars

Kahnawake Gaming Commission has concluded their findings about the incident of cheating that took place on January 11 and it was probably the biggest cheating event that took place on online poker. In the start of the report the activity of cheating was declared as wrong action. Further Kahnawake Gaming Commission has been issued notice for enquiry of the different places of Absoulute Poker and taking proper precautions that the incident is not repeated again and checking if Absolute Poker has broken any rules.

Gaming Associates took a time period of two weeks and their report was also included with the report of Kahnawake Gaming Commission. Firstly, the report is noteworthy but it only lacks two things and those are that it did not mention those who were involved in the Absolute Poker case. Secondly, the report also did not reveal if any compensation was provided or is there any criminal charges filed or not. There is also no technical aspect mention that how exactly that cheating took place.

Following are the findings of Kahnawake Gaming Commission-

- Since August 14 in 2007 some players were cheating other players for six weeks at Absolute Poker’s live games. They were using the software that facilitates them to have a look at the hole cards of their opponent that result in the unjust play.

- The report disclosed that the accounts those were put into use for cheating are- Steamroller Potripper, Doubledrag, and SupercardM55 etc. Absolute Poker has been ordered to get rid of the people behind these account names from playing any further role in Absolute Poker. It also suggested that whosoever was involved were insider or very much linked with the poker room.

- The people those who were associated wit the Absolute Poker after cheating erased some of important gaming logs. Absolute Poker also assisted during the findings.

- After the investigation Gaming Associates did not find any proof of the involvement of Absolute Poker.

- As it was necessary by the licensing directives the anonymous people were not able to be in contact with Kahnawake Gaming Commission under 24 hours.

- Gaming Associates also find that Absolute Poker have compensated the players those all who have to face injustice. Kahnawake Gaming Commission had requested the players those who are not compensated can contact the Commission.

- Kahnawake Gaming Commission also found that Absolute Poker has not followed rule, not keeping record for five years after the incident took place, and failing to report within a given time of 24 hours.

- Kahnawake Gaming Commission will be reviewing Absolute Poker and that too at the cost of Absoute Poker. The company is directed for applying an effective program and other actions as directed by Kahnawake Gaming Commission.

- An underdetermined amount will be deposited by the Absolute Poker with Kahnawake Gaming Commission for a time period of two years to balance any further violation of regulations of Kahnawake. The company will also be paying the cost that is incurred with the investigation conducted by Gaming Associates.
